brushteeth

The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends you visit your dentist for a checkup and cleaning a minimum of twice per year.  Many dental problems can be prevented with a routine exam and cleaning.  In addition to cleaning the teeth to prevent decay, we comprehensively check you tooth and bone structure, gums, jaw, tongue and other soft tissues in your mouth.  Preventative dental checkups can help with the detection of oral health problems long before the onset of symptoms.

Radiographs are an essential part of prevention as they can detect cavities and other tooth and jaw problems unnoticeable to the naked eye.  If a cavity is detected during a checkup, we can provide treatment with a filling before it develops into a more serious problem that would require more extensive treatment like a crown, root canal or the loss of the tooth.
